For how many thousands of years was Israel backsliding and disobeying God? Yet, we still have the Old Testament preserved, miraculously. I don’t think the failures of men can stand in the way of God’s work.
I’m not sure of what you are trying to say. But, I can say this in response. The catholic church acknowledges that there have been bad popes, anti-popes and a multitude of clerics who did more to destroy the church than to build it.
That shows that the Church, as in the case of Israel, is under
Divine protection. The Church is not holy because of the men in it, it is holy because Jesus Christ is the head of the church.
