The FRoman Catholic interpretation of their own teaching is so funny.
If the Catechism isn't the single best, most concise expression of required Catholic doctrine, what else is out there that takes its place?
Islam is an amalgamation of Christianity, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism. The Koran plagiarizes the Holy books of those religions. It is a relatively new religion, less than 2,000 years old. How anyone can think we share a god is beyond me. The fact that Islam is monotheistic is proof enough to me that their god is not one and the same as ours.
Don't hold your breath waiting for an answer, although it's a VERY good question.
Just about any pre-VatII catechism is far more concise. As I've written before, there's a reason the CCC is known as the Cataclysm of the Catholic Church. There are some beautiful passages hidden among the general incoherency and excess verbiage, but as a teaching tool I won't let my children be exposed to the CCC. It reads like it was written by a UN subcommittee for the most part.
For English readers I recommend and still use the Baltimore Catechism. I understand what you're saying though, people should be able to trust the CCC... that they can't is an unfortunate and confusing paradox. I file it under "smoke of satan, etc."
....”I then greet and cordially thank you all ‘DEAR FRIENDS’ belonging to other religious traditions....”FIRST of all to the Muslims, who worship the one God. living and merciful, and call upon him in prayer...I really appreciate your presence. In it I see a tangible ‘sign’ of the will to grow in mutual esteem and co-operation for the common good of humanity”.
Pope Francis should know, (but doesn't acknowledge), that Allah of the Koran is NOT the same God as the God of the Bible. Francis is all about ‘social theology’ which ties in with the UN/Globalist Agenda for the Muslim inclusion into the NWO.
Francis sees the RCC as the spearhead in bringing about representation of all the most prominent religions of the world under it's authority......which that representative leadership will be who supports and holds up the anti-Christ and makes him acceptable to the religious community of that time.
That is true.
Finally, those who have not yet received the Gospel are related in various ways to the people of God.(18*) In the first place we must recall the people to whom the testament and the promises were given and from whom Christ was born according to the flesh.(125) On account of their fathers this people remains most dear to God, for God does not repent of the gifts He makes nor of the calls He issues.(126) But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator. In the first place amongst these there are the Muslims, who, professing to hold the faith of Abraham, along with us adore the one and merciful God, who on the last day will judge mankind....
You'll notice it speaks of the Jews first, then the Muslims. The wording is awful for sure. Par for the course.
There is nowhere in the catechism where a catholic is responsible to do any defense of the magisterium..only to blindly accept it's teachings as true. The defense of the magisterium appears to be directed to those of Priests and other's in position and leadership. Therefore what they say and how they defend must be acceptable to the people.

The entire International Society is well primed to “follow” in mass leadership which ‘appears’ to favor whatever trend is front and center.
For Ferguson it’s surely a race issue regardless of how people are framing it...it STILL comes down to the blacks seeing themselves as victims and the inability to handle their own communities peoples who continue to commit crimes they believe they are entitled to commit.
Ideology trumps truth and law......and it’s all about perceptions rather than truth.

“I am seeking the truth”...Buddha
“What is Truth?”...Pilate
“I AM the truth”...Jesus
Too many believe themselves to be seeking the truth when in fact they have left the truth they once knew to be so and are seeking something else to “tickle their ears”.

Yes. I think the expression “I am still searching for the truth” can be a cop-out for facing reality, in more subjects than just faith.
Once an individual turns away from the faith they have known well to be the truth and in whom truth is....you can, with certainty, know the enemy of men’s souls will be quick and active to fill the vacancy.....and will spare nothing to entrap them.
So many who have done so end up ‘many’ years still seeking...some 13 others 30 only to return and see all the wasted years SPENT on a lie.
Yes. The enemy is always prowling around like a hungry lion.
Now that opens up another whole can of worms.....
