Lovers Of Ecumenicide Pretend Muslims Worship Our God - They DON'T!

There is a great deal of confusion in the Church today as to whether or not Muslims worship the same God as do we. In fact many prelates, including our own Cardinal McCarrick, either are honestly confused about the matter or they exploit general confusion so that they may appear to be "ecumenical". Indeed, nine years ago at Catholic University His Eminence addressed some Muslim dignitaries; in that address he invoked "allah" three times but he gave not one mention to Jesus Christ. That address, which can be called de facto idolatry, is here.

Cardinal McCarrick and other devotees of ecumenicide often cite Lumen Gentium and the Catechism as their authorities. They are misreading those church documents. A few weeks ago Dr. Taylor Marshall posted an article that addressed this question. I link to it now; it's worth careful study. He points out that the Church documents state that the Muslims profess to worship the God of Abraham, and profess to hold faith in Him.

It's one thing to profess to worship God. It can be quite another to worship God in fact. Here's an example of this occurrence. We've all heard Nancy Pelosi's protestations of being a "good faithful Catholic". This is the same Pelosi who went on a rampage when her bishop upheld traditional marriage. This is the same Pelosi who was honored at Planned Parenthood's gala in March and said that" to be associated with the great Margaret Sanger is a distinct privilege" (she may well "enjoy that privilege" for all eternity if she doesn't repent, but I digress). She also believes Hamas to be a "humanitarian organization". So Pelosi may think she's a great Catholic, but reality indicates otherwise. Similarly, Muslims think they worship the God of Abraham but their actions indicate otherwise. The more vociferous Muslims state that we don't worship the same deity (more than we can say for Cardinal McCarrick); they just don't accept that they are the ones worshiping a false idol - if not actual demons.

Below is a video of Muslim jihadists burying alive opponents. This action (among so many others) is evidence that these monsters do NOT worship the One True God. Parents - you may wish to keep your small children from seeing this.

For English readers I recommend and still use the Baltimore Catechism. I understand what you're saying though, people should be able to trust the CCC... that they can't is an unfortunate and confusing paradox. I file it under "smoke of satan, etc."

I distinctly remember a FRoman Catholic lambasting those who used the Baltimore Catechism as a reference for what the Catholic church officially teaches. They said it was a "child's version" and didn't really fully express what the church teaches. Anyone else remember that?

...the Jews who DO worship the same God, the God of the OT

Sorry, metmom. Scripture is very clear. The God of the OT is the same God of the NT. To deny the Son is to deny the Father. Jews do not worship the same God. The Trinity cannot be divided.

Yes, it is the SAME, and only, God, but, the Jews were the FIRST as a nation to worship the one, true God, who's personal name revealed to Moses as the "I AM". They do not nationally recognize Jesus as the Messiah, Son of God, or the triune nature of God, though their Shema (a prayer that is the centerpiece of the Jewish morning and evening prayers) encapsulates the monotheistic essence of Judaism: "Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God, the LORD is one", found in Deuteronomy 6:4, sometime alternately translated as "The LORD is our God, the LORD alone." Observant Jews consider the Shema to be the most important part of the prayer service in Judaism, and its twice-daily recitation as a mitzvah (religious commandment). It is traditional for Jews to say the Shema as their last words, and for parents to teach their children to say it before they go to sleep at night. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shema_Yisrael). Interestingly, the last word echad means the unified and cardinal number one. Taken with the Genesis account where God said, "Let us create man in our image", alludes to a plural, but unified one.

So, even though they have not as a nation accepted Jesus as their Messiah, it nonetheless IS the same God (since He is the ONLY true God) that both Jews and Christians worship. The Muslims, on the other hand, worship a demon masquerading as the true god. Even a cursory read of the Koran would demonstrate that.

The Trinity is presented in the OT.

Besides, I don’t recall anywhere in the NT where having your theological ducks lined up was a requirement for salvation.

Yup.

One of those comments that I now wish someone had saved.

I wouldn't be surprised that someone wrote that. It seems a bit like criticizing the times tables because they don't incorporate an explanation of calculus though.

Again, sorry but no. The same hermeneutic that makes us correctly conclude that Muslims don't worship God has to make us conclude that Jews don't either. To deny the Son is to deny the Father. Jesus made that perfectly clear in John 8.

Absolutely. Same God, OT and NT.

Not sure of your point. Are you saying Judaism is a saving faith?

I distinctly remember a FRoman Catholic lambasting those who used the Baltimore Catechism as a reference for what the Catholic church officially teaches

If the Baltimore is to be followed, then popes and prelates are indicted as unfaithful.

How does a Catholic sin against faith? A Catholic sins against Faith by Apostasy, heresy, indifferentism and by taking part in non-Catholic worship." (Catechism of the Council of Trent, and the Baltimore Catechism)

Rome, Italy, Feb 19, 2010 / 02:03 pm (CNA).- The president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Cardinal Walter Kasper, announced this week that Pope Benedict XVI will visit the Evangelical Lutheran Church located in Rome on March 14 for an ecumenical celebration. http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/benedict_xvi_to_participate_in_march_14_ecumenical_celebration/

And it supports those who believe in a Catholic quest to rule by the sword of men.

Q. 539. What do we mean by the "temporal power" of the Pope?

A. By the temporal power of the Pope we mean the right which the Pope has as a temporal or ordinary ruler to govern the states and manage the properties that have rightfully come into the possession of the Church.

Q. 540. How did the Pope acquire and how was he deprived of the temporal power?

A. The Pope acquired the temporal power in a just manner by the consent of those who had a right to bestow it. He was deprived of it in an unjust manner by political changes.

Others tell us to go to the latest CCC to find out what Rome really teaches, while presenting the RCC as solving the problem, of different interpretations.
