Yes, the bloggers are asserting that it is completely in line with Catholic Tradition. Hogwash. There are numerous quotes from saints and popes that make it VERY clear that Islam is a diabolical religion. A diabolical religion can not “adore” the same God no matter which so-called meaning of adore is used.
This is just an example of more post-Vatican II mental gymnastics. The same sort of stuff you see when Vatican II Catholics try to explain away Francis’ words and actions.
