God changed the names of other people in Scripture as He wanted, when He did a great work in their lives.
But to claim that Catholic know the reason for that is hubris.
Building a church on a man, instead of God, is a recipe for failure.
Jesus is the cornerstone. Y’all can trust men if y’all want to and like, but I’ll continue to build my faith on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith.

However we live in a fallen world. We are on a pilgrimage here. The New Jerusalem is NOT YET.
