“contrary to what the Scripture PLAINLY says.”

If Protestantism was grounded on what Scripture PLAINLY says then it would have existed throughout the first 15 centuries of the Church instead of being invented on the cloaca by a heretical German monk in the early 16th century. But it didn’t exist.

But it didn’t exist.

It must have, for it came from the pure DNA that was embedded within the Roman Catholic Church.

[16] Because it is written: You shall be holy, for I am holy. [17] And if you invoke as Father him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to every one’ s work: converse in fear during the time of your sojourning here. [18] Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as gold or silver, from your vain conversation of the tradition of your fathers: [19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb unspotted and undefiled, [20] Foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but manifested in the last times for you,

[21] Who through him are faithful in God, who raised him up from the dead, and hath given him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God. [22] Purifying your souls in the obedience of charity, with a brotherly love, from a sincere heart love one another earnestly: [23] Being born again not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible, by the word of God who liveth and remaineth for ever. [24] For all flesh is as grass; and all the glory thereof as the flower of grass. The grass is withered, and the flower thereof is fallen away. [25] But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel hath been preached unto you.

At the moment of his earthy death— He died for our sins. For some reason some see no distinction between Jesus as the Son of Man— I.e. on the Earth and Jesus, the Son of God risen from the dead. It is very clear . For example in Mark (circa 20:5) He says we can not enter heaven unless we have the righteousnes of the Pharises. Do you think that is the case now? I don’t. I think His sacrifice atoned for our sins. I know He atoned for our sins. But everything changed on the cross.

Ok — I agree.I was Baptized by sprinkle and immersion to demonstrate my love of Jesus but only as an outward manifestation of that faith. Take care.

Perhaps he should have said “dead man’s bones and other corruption”(like Jesus said describing what the Pharisees were full of) which according to the Greek and Aramaic translates very colorfully close to the word “crap”. Actually it’s closer to the phrase “full of sh—” but I guess we should watch our language.

I agree with what you say here, but MY response was to the sentence: Our sins were forgiven on the cross right?

Now you post:At the moment of his earthy death— He died for our sins.

In my mind; this is a vast difference.

That’s all well and good, but there is no Biblical support for baptism merely as “an outward manifestation” of faith.

Be well.
