God inspired the authors through the Holy Spirit.

There really was a Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Peter, Paul, James, Titus, Timothy, etc.

They didn't even do that ... by the time the council came along where they claim the canon was approved ... the church as a whole was already using the NT.

Catholics need to believe that they put the Bible together to maintain authority OVER it ...

They came to the party late ... after the canon was already determined ... they teach that they were responsible. Roman Catholic history is a unique point of view ... I think their view is actually part of 'sacred tradition.'
