I was about to post the same. It’s “dark” and to me, depraved.

Sure He did. God does not force Himself onto us.

God has told a lot of people who didn't want to do the job He sent the on how it was going to be.

The easiest example to use is Moses.

Read Exodus 4 sometime.

On the contrary, the only ones I have every heard of it from are Catholics.

I NEVER heard a single protestant ever equate it to a *divine rape*.

Exodus 4:13 (Moses to God) Please send someone else!!!

God didn't take it from him.

If you knew Scripture well, you'd be able to think of plenty of other examples, too.

So yes, God DOES force Himself on us. It's His prerogative. He's the creator. We're the created.

And in that role she continues to serve her Son. Nobody has ever said she is equal or that she possesses divine powers. She possesses what God gave her, just as God bestows upon us certain charisms.

Sure Catholics do. Just like you did in your previous paragraph when you called her *co-redemptrix*.

They won’t come right out and say it but they do not find Jesus sufficient for salvation. If they did they wouldn’t “require” a “co-redemptrix.”

Jesus said, "You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve." (Matt. 4:10)

So Samuel said to all the Israelites, "If you are returning to the LORD with all your hearts, then rid yourselves of the foreign gods and the Ashtoreths and commit yourselves to the LORD and serve him only, and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines." (I Samuel 7:3)

Then you will desecrate your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, "Away with you!" (Isaiah 30:22)

Last post for messed up somehow. Try again......

God does not force Himself onto us.

God has told a lot of people who didn't want to do the job He sent the on how it was going to be.

The easiest example to use is Moses.

Read Exodus 4 sometime.

Exodus 4:13 (Moses to God) Please send someone else!!!

God didn't take it from him.

If you knew Scripture well, you'd be able to think of plenty of other examples, too. Saul, Gideon, Jonah, Jeremiah,.......

So yes, God DOES force Himself on us. It's His prerogative. He's the creator. We're the created.

I know protestants, in their vulgarity, like to characterize the Incarnation as some sort of divine rape but it didn't happen that way.

I NEVER EVER heard a single protestant ever equate it to a *divine rape*. The only ones I have ever heard refer to it that way are the Catholics.

But considering the messed up views they have on sex, sexuality, marriage, virginity, etc, it's no surprise that they'd think that way.

Projection is an interesting phenomena. It reveals a lot about a person when they presume that others think like themselves.

And in that role (co-redemptrix) she continues to serve her Son. Nobody has ever said she is equal or that she possesses divine powers. She possesses what God gave her, just as God bestows upon us certain charisms.

Sure Catholics do. Just like you did in your previous paragraph when you called her *co-redemptrix*.

She did NOT bring forth redemption.

ANY Jewish virgin with the right lineage living in her circumstances could have fulfilled that prophecy.

Catholics will one day realize that those embellished statues and bejeweled skeletal parts are indeed idols. I fear that for many of them it will be too late.

I often wondered if they wipe off the statue/skull/femur/dessicated hand/etc between worshippers.

I mean the only thing worse than sticking your lips on a corpses would be sticking your lips on a corpse that’s slick with someone elses drool.

It all looks more like part of a Bablonian occult than anything else.

Hello.
I bought my first Bible a few days after I was saved.
It was a great experience. The lady who operated the little book store prayed with me because she understood the journey that I had just begun.
It was exciting to see what being part of God’s family meant - both to me and to my new brothers and sisters in Christ.
God is Good...
All the Time.
