You should know that I don’t read Catholic Documentary’s.....

That's a pity.

The definitions/commentaries ‘they’ use/write are generally ‘cover ups’ trying to explain away the real truth that doesn’t fit catholicism’s agenda, and ‘piling’ layers of gibberish on top to keep the more intellectual catholic members occupied who have a ‘need’ to “feel” smart....

I can't imagine that there's much to cover up. The beliefs of the Catholic Church are an open book. That is, unless, one subscribes to the notion that the Catholic Church is engaged in a global 2000 year old conspiracy to deceive humanity about its beliefs. After all, that is the only logical conclusion one could reach after immersing themselves in the shadow world of secret societies, secret rituals, open rituals with secret meaning, symbology etc. Read Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco to understand the absurdity of such constructs.

Catholicism has a rich tradition of intellectual rigor. Faith and reason are not mutually exclusive faculties. It is understandable for a protestant to reject such intellectual tradition. Protestantism seeks to separate itself from its humanity. We are not pure spirit as much as Protestantism would like to have us believe. We have minds and bodies.

The wonderful thing about the Catholic Church is that it is for all. For the most brilliant amongst us and those who are not. There's something for everybody. You speak much of the "trappings" or externals of Catholicism. Do you not realize those things are here to help us? Catholicism does not deny our humanity. It embraces it and uses these things that you criticize to bring together the human and the Divine.

You may consider it that weak or counter to the "pure" faith of Protestantism. But there is nothing pure about a theology that seeks to abandon half of its makeup. Just as protestants abandoned Sacred Tradition, they only have half the story.

Ok Antceecee....I can see you may be having difficulty staying on the topics here... rather than offering your take it seems your just using a tactic of diversion.

I'll therefore proceed with what's been the topic now...

Pope bent at the knee , with folded hands entwined, and eyes closed as one might do if praying...and this before a chest of relics in a Canadian church...

It is not uncommon for catholics to ship or mail these relics to each others church....in fact there have been some heated discussions to see who gets them next, pending on what's in the box , casket or the type of idol

This might interest you...

People rush forward to pray in front of the garments of the late pope John Paul II’s .... made into “relics”.

Here's his blood made into a relic

That this blood is called “holy” by catholics, but was tapped from a 'diseased and dying Pope',..it's a display of anti-christianity at its most morbid because.....How can the blood of a crippled and sick man be branded as “holy”?........How can a priesthood cut the Pope like he was a chicken, and use his blood as witches use blood of humans?

And his Blessed Mother. "I am the Immaculate Conception."

I'm sure the fact that I strongly disagree with that claim has become obvious by now. There is no scriptural support for such a belief. What is supported would be to say that Mary was a special woman who found favor with God in order to bear the Christ Child. Beyond that is speculation, and I will not go there. It leads to all manner of error.

...."that the catholic church is engaged in a global 2000 year old conspiracy 'to deceive humanity' about its beliefs"....

That's exactly right.... and they've been highly successful.... for Jesus said it would be so when he stated...... "the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and... 'there are many' who enter through it. ...Matt.7:14

Did you think that the enemy of men's souls was going to rest when the believers were still yet young in their faith at that time?........rather....that he would certainly be highly active in creating 'a counterfeit' for true Christianity....(which he always counterfeits the things of God)... by mixing it with Roman Governance and Pagan rituals which would 'appeal' to the throngs of people at the time........and be sure to present the package just exactly as he did in how he presented himself to Adam and Eve in the garden....he 'dazzled' them both.

So yes indeed...'counterfeit christianity' has been the hallmark of the enemy of God 'for centuries'...when the catholic church welcomed into the fold falsehood, pagan ritual practices and teachings, and partnered with Roman Government...it turned it's back on true Christianity and created it's own version that we still see to this day.

Jesus said of the two.... "lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them..... Let both grow together until the harvest:... and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers,... Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them:... but gather the wheat into my barn."....Matt:13:24-30

You stated..."Catholicism has a rich tradition of intellectual rigor.".... ....

For which Jesus said........"Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. .....consider that there were not many wise according to the flesh,... not many mighty,... not many noble;..... but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong.......I Corn.1:26 ....

...and further He states to the Father..... "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.....Matt.11:25

As to your comment that...."Catholicism" ... uses these 'things' that you criticize to 'bring together the human and the Divine'.

Jesus was very specific when he stated... “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption......I Cor. 15:50-54

Priest's, nor can anyone else, bring Jesus "down" into a wafer or goblet of wine....as you inferred as 'bringing together the human with the divine'.....Jesus already accomplished that, ("it is finished" he said) through His death, burial....and most importantly His Resurrection.

(Side Note:...Bringing quote "the humane together with the divine' is New Age 'Spirituality' taught by many of the movements now crossing our nation....from transidental meditation to various other forms of out of body experiences...just as catholics have an 'experience' by 'believing they' are eating and drinking Christ in their Eucharist...a "spiritual experience". All of these are counterfeit.)

Blessed is He who does not see and yet believes.

Now, that's funny right there.

Showing a picture of someone holding up a host supposedly representing Jesus, something to LOOK at, and then quoting that verse?

So all the people who are looking on the physical, seeing it, are not blessed.

....”I pray God will forgive you your sins...”...

No need to, He already has.... just as he said...

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more”.... Isaiah 43:25

Any I commit, before I go home with Him, is between He and me,... and He is ‘more than’ able and willing to hear me speak with Him about these, and He with me......and it’s at His feet I am forgiven now and forevermore.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

And so the protestant, in an effort to emulate Christ spares nothing in correcting their fellow man but is unwilling to emulate the love Christ has for His Mother.

Jesus loves everyone and does not elevate one above another.

The only interactions recorded with Jesus and Mary has Him addressing her as *Woman*.

Never even calls her *Mom*, and He rebukes her when He is 12 and at the wedding in Cana.

So give us some examples of what y'all consider the great love He had for Mary that we are to emulate.

Like God is going to condemn a 10 year old to hell for eating because she is hungry.

The Catholic church is unforgiving and stern and has presented a lopsided view of God to the world as being unloving, intolerant, capricious, quick to judge and condemn, instead of loving, merciful, drawing us to Himself, ready and WILLING to forgive.

And they’ll be accused of being liars as we’ve seen so often concerning others who have been molested by priests.

The RCC can do no wrong, dontcha know? Anyone who points it out is simply looking to win life’s lottery and is an anti and bigot. /s

All those Woes’ Jesus handed the religious instructors and still they resisted the truth he was saying....it went right over their heads too...might be they had a distinct over-inflated opinion of who they really were.

There comes a time when that “still small voice” continues to be ignored ...then the drum beat begins...then the thunder...and then a trumpet blast....then....Silence.

“....When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour”.....Rev. 8:1

Roman Catholic Pope sitting on the Papal throne at the Vatican... Notice the 'huge' sun emblem above the throne.

The son of Man had nowhere to lay His head.

right on point for these forums.... Catholic bash fests.

And posting a thread entitled *If Mary is not your mother, you are an orphan* is an example of what?

NOT bashing non-Catholics?

Take the log out.

I'm sorry, I'm confused are we worshiping the sun or the Eucharist?

And THAT is the problem with incorporating paganism into worship of God.

So when are Catholics going to stop calling Protestants *heretics* and telling them they're going to hell because they are not in submission to Rome or the Pontiff.

Citations from the CCC on request.
