I don’t think I can help you understand.

Your mind seems to focus on one thing and you may not have the faith to fully understand what God has told us.

>>Moreover, countless public miracles are associated with this institution, in evidence of divine superintendence.<<

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

>>and listen to the answers provided.<<

Answers from who? Surely not those who incorporate paganism. I look for answers in scripture with guidance from the Holy Spirit.

>>Would this be the same law that made it a sin for the apostles to pick wheat on the Sabbath and Jesus to heal on the Sabbath?<<

No, this would be included in the reiterated admonition to abstain from blood by the apostles as recorded in Acts. So, was Jesus drinking His own blood in direct disobedience of that or not?

Your comment: If it’s not in Scripture, there is nothing binding on the believer to believe the nonsense that deifies Mary.

It is in the scriptures (please refer to posting 125), you chose to ignore it.

The Catholic Church does not “deify” Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Please provide a valid reference to your heretical comment.

>>That the Church which Christ instituted for man’s salvation must be one in the strict sense of the term just explained,<<

And most assuredly would not include one that incorporates paganism as I have shown you the Catholic Church admittedly does.

It’s a simple yes or no question. Was He drinking His own blood or not?

Your comment: Surely not those who incorporate paganism

So you are full of heresy. Too bad you don’t back up your comments with actual facts.

Perhaps your communication link with the Holy Spirit needs to be fixed.

If you listened and responded with reasoned questions or documented rebuttals, then it might be easier to discuss issues with you.

Hmmm, let's see.

Deify - to exalt to the rank of a deity

According to Catholics Mary;
Can hear everyone anywhere - omnipresent - check
Can answer any prayer - all powerful -check
Knows everything - omniscient - check

Looks like Catholics deify Mary

You see, many Protestants believe that they are saved by making one single act of faith at one single point in time in their lives. Nowhere does Scripture say such a thing. As Catholics, however, we believe that salvation is a process which begins with our Baptism and continues throughout our lifetimes, just as the Bible teaches us.

"In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory."--Ephesians 1

Please refrain from calling God a liar concerning His guarantee.

If the candles which were formerly distributed at the Saturnalia are now identified with the feast of the Purification of our Lady? What, I ask, is there so surprising if holy bishops have allowed certain customs firmly rooted among pagan peoples, and so tenaciously adhered to by them that even after their conversion to Christianity they could not be induced to surrender them, to be transferred to the worship of the true God?" (Baronius, "Annales", ad ann. 58, n. 77). (as cited in Thurston, Herbert. "Lights." The Catholic Encyclopedia. Vol. 9. Nihil Obstat.October 1, 1910. Remy Lafort, Censor. Imprimatur. +John M. Farley, Archbishop of New York. New York: Robert Appleton Company, 1910.21 Dec. 2009 )

It's right there. I have shown you that before. The Catechism of the Catholic Church itself also admits they incorporate pagan practices.

2 Corinthians 11:13

Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.

**************************

2 Peter 3:16

His [Paul's] letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

**************************

Matthew 12:22

Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. All the people were astonished and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”

But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.”

Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? And if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your people drive them out?

The miraculous healings, exorcisms and supernatural events associated with the Catholic Church lead people to Christ. Is Satan's kingdom divided?

Shroud of Turin
Lourdes
Eucharistic Miracle of Lanciano
Tilma of Juan Diego
Fatima
Blood of St. Januarius

Finally,... Jesus performed public miracles. The Apostles performed public miracles. And Christ's Church performs public miracles. Where are the comparable public miracles in Protestantism?

I thought you read the Bible and understood the English language. What words do you not understand?

“This is my body” and “this is my my blood of the covenant”

From Matthew 26

The Lord’s Supper. 26* While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat; this is my body.”* k 27Then he took a cup, gave thanks,* and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you, 28l for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins. 29* I tell you, from now on I shall not drink this fruit of the vine until the day when I drink it with you new in the kingdom of my Father.” 30* Then, after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

You sure do like answering questions without answering any don’t you. Did Jesus drink His own blood in disobedience to the law?

Again, you just make statements that are factually false.

That is blasphemy.

Jesus does not tell everyone to *Listen to the church*.

It is not a command.

It does not give blanket authority over everyone every where to one organization that claims retroactively that it is the OTC which Jesus established.

The very Roman church that adds *sacred tradition* to Scripture? We’re supposed to trust THAT church when it doesn’t even follow the Scripture that it claims to have written?

No, I don’t trust the Catholic church. It’s history doesn’t give anybody an reason to consider it trustworthy.
