“International Business Times” is extrapolating from a purposefully ignorant anti-Catholic blog itself extrapolating from Pope Francis’ comments?

Nothing Pope Francis said on this matter is any different from anything from anything every other pope has said dating back to long before Nicea.

Nowhere did he mention a second trinity, no where did he mention a godhead level. If Pope Francis’ words were truly scandalous, why did IBT have to use words Pope Francis never used?

I think it's fairly obvious that some people are so consumed with hatred for the Roman Catholic Church that they'll believe anything, from any source, no matter how ridiculous, clearly false, and badly attributed ... so long as it confirms their anti-Catholic beliefs. It is particularly shameful that such folks pretend to be Christians.

A little history lesson. There was NO pope prior to Nicea... or even after Nicea... Not until Gregory the great @ 650AD did any Bishop of Rome claim any universal authority. Check again, neither the Bishop of Rome nor many other western Bishops even attended Nicea.... Facts are still stubborn things.
