Because Sheen was everything Dolan is not. He was a staunch defender of Christianity, had a great personality, and people believed what he said. It made no difference what denomination they might be. I was raised on watching Archbishop Fulton Sheen with my parents. They would never miss his show, especially my father. They were both Southern Baptists.
