As has been mentioned many times, if you (or any poster) is too thinskinned for the open threads, they should not be on them.

All you are doing is making it personal...about you and posters you won’t debate, but will make personal accusations. Which can cause flame wars which the RM does NOT like, and will not tolerate.

Thinskinnedness cause those kinds of reactions, probably why the RM exhorts those that can’t debate and who bring it into the personal realm to go to other type of threads.

There is a topic to this thread, and it seems you are deflecting from it with your constant complaints about things you “mindread” into other posters thoughts.

If we all mentioned toners, non-Catholics would be busy mindreading instead of debating the issues.

So which Popes are right about Mary, the old ones or the more recent one?

Although I'm compassionate, no one but you (and those you claim) have called me thin-skinned; is it a cover word for what you'd like to really say? I've been referred to in my lifetime as a pioneer, honest, and too pushy, regarding my chosen faith. I'm working on that. May I ask what position/title you work under for Free Republic? A religion moderator? VP? etc.

But if you don't realize the trouble the world is in, you haven't been reading Free Republic! Will we make it through the week? :)

That being said, some of the adjectives used to describe Jesus and Our Lady, and the Catholic Church on this forum, are not good. The tall tales are ridiculous (regarding Mary and worship), and the continuance of allowing them is peculiar. (Most of the Catholics who post here state the same thing.) But if by debating strongly for the Sacraments of the Church, I can encourage anyone [of any faith] to attend adoration, or a daily Mass (even just for observance), I feel that's a good thing, as it will help propel a soul to His power, which is especially needed in these times. I do not disrespect other Christian faiths; I feel Catholicism is a more complete faith.

As far as this post, I know of no other dogma (double dogma?!) regarding the Assumption than the one declared by Pope Pius XII in 1950. And, yes, I believe in the Assumption.

P.S. About those I've commented to in a personal way as you say, I'll refrain from doing so as it's being misunderstood. I hope this is okay to maintain my membership on Free Republic. If not, then you be the judge, if that's your power.

“As has been mentioned many times, if you (or any poster) is too thinskinned for the open threads, they should not be on them.”

Vladimir Ilyich Lenin said, “Accuse others of what you do.”

The fang and claw crowd wants to deflect attention from the circumstances of this set-to, which are these:

This particular kerfluffle began with one or more of the fang and claw protestants hitting the abuse button over something I said.

It started with *them* being thin-skinned. To hide this, they immediately started slinging accusations that *others* are being too sensitive.

Occasionally I am motivated to comment on the bias in the moderating here. I don’t really know why, because it is the very tone the management wants.

In the final analysis, though, it was not I who brought the moderator in with false accusations of “mind reading.” It was the fang and claw protestants that wanted to ensure that the strongest arguments against them are stifled, and, whether he did so knowingly or not, the moderator became their cat’s paw.

Remember Sinkspur.
