My take on this article:
1. The priest should have spoken to the mother privately, not to a 14 year old girl with discussion of sex.
2. Shorts are not appropriate to wear to a religious service.
3. Just because a woman dresses in a sexy manner, is not a justification for men to act on lustful thoughts.
5. To make women dress in a certain manner in order to prevent men from having lustful thoughts is the same reason Muslims force women into burqas.
5. Leggings can be quite cute- especially paired with a tunic top that falls midway on the thigh- paired with boots. Quite stylish, and no different than wearing stockings.

I think Fr. Carota wants women to understand that men find their bodies sexually attractive and evidently it’s a strong pull (some girls don’t understand this fully, or in fact, do, and want the attention anyway). He’s seen so much sorrow as a priest; a really good guy who wants to end abortion. Your leggings outfit sounds cute. Fr. Carota would probably have been thrilled to see this girl wearing that.
