Based on my readings, Tolkien was a deeply religious individual—In fact, it’s my understanding that Tolkien brought his colleague at Oxford, C. S. Lewis, back into to the Christian fold.
Anybody think that would happen with the calibre of college professors out there today?

I understand there is a dispute in California about whether Bilbo Baggins is legal in the state. If he is found to be a Plastic Baggins, then he will be outlawed IAW the new anti-plastic bag legislation. If he is descended from the Cloth Baggins, he will be permitted residencey. If he is found to be of the Paper Baggins, then he may or may not be welcomed.
