It is never permissible to have such a surface-level, legalistic, theocratic-government-forced dead moralistic Christian nation. The question was a rhetorical one. When I said it was impossible to have a Christian nation in “this day and age” I meant generally, as in since the Mosaic Law, not 21st century, etc.

So would it be fair to categorize OT Israel as being a surface-level, legalistic, theocratic-government-forced dead moralistic Jewish nation? And was it so because they followed God's commands, or because they didn't?

Whatever the case may be, we do know that a lot of Roman Catholics around here would like to see a Catholic Monarchy established.
