I agree that Homosexuality was and still is, an abomination. Careful there Msgr. Charles Pope about polygamy. In Jesus day, polygamy was legal under Jewish law. Please do no equate the two.
BTW...Homosexuality is not a choice !

Can he grant forgiveness? Yes.
