As a freemason who attended a Catholic university, I know of no masonic conspiracy to destroy the church. In fact, there are many devout Catholics who are also freemasons.
However, I did encounter many priests and nuns determined to transform the church from within. Many as liberation theologists and a significant minority as gay and lesbian.
