I was talking about on this site. I do not think I have seem Bible verses used to back up their statements. It is like they do not know the Bible. One thing I learned in my decades of genealogy research was to find evidence to back up my information. That was one of the first things I learned. It is hard to believe any info when the parents were born after the children. I used census data, wills, etc to back up my data. Some Catholics do not think that is important. Just because tradition says something does not make it correct. Men make mistakes but the Word of God is true.

St. Paul teaches us in Philippians 2:12-13, “So then, my beloved, obedient as you have always been, not only when I am present but all the more now when I am absent, work out your salvation with fear and trembling. For God is the one who, for his good purpose, works in you both to desire and to work.”
