Now that’s funny. A catholic priest talking about using the plain teaching of the gospel when Rome completely ignores and mangles Luke and Paul regarding the alleged sinlessness of Mary. If Rome gets this wrong why should we trust Rome on anything else?

BTW: I am willing to ignore your bigoted personal attacks on me as long as you also include something of substance.

Where do Luke and Paul say that Mary was a sinner?

Paul in Romans 3:23...ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. that would include Mary.

Luke 1:47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

Luke 2:22-24

22And when the days for their purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord 23(as it is written in the Law of the Lord, “EVERY firstborn MALE THAT OPENS THE WOMB SHALL BE CALLED HOLY TO THE LORD”), 24and to offer a sacrifice according to what was said in the Law of the Lord, “A PAIR OF TURTLEDOVES OR TWO YOUNG PIGEONS.”

Christ is the only person noted in the Bible to be without sin.

If, as you noted on an earlier post, take the Word in its plain meaning, then we see Mary was a sinner.

Accepting homosexuality is not true of Evangelicals. He misstated what Evangelicals believe here.

The Bible is against Adultery, Fornication, and Homosexuality...Sin is Sin. Evangelicals believe ALL CAN BE SAVED, because God said so. Jesus said ALL who believed in him could come to the Father through him...All is not some of a few, it’s all sins can be forgiven . That is what he meant by ‘leave transformed’.

There is a scripture for the only unforgivable sin, but that’s about something not being discussed here, it is ‘blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.”

So what he meant by gays are welcome in the church is that all sinners, who are searching for a spiritual answer, are right to come to hear the Word of God. However, once they accept Christ then they must submit to his inner conviction that says they must stop what they are doing and seek his way. All Christians must allow Christ in them to do the convicting of sin...Yes, sometimes we move away from God, we are not perfect, but we must continually repent of any sin and turn from it.

Continuing to stubbornly sin intentionally, after receiving Christ, and calling yourself a Christian is not embracing Grace and Salvation.

The First Evangelical Church was ‘The Way’ and it started with Jesus and the Disciples.
