I have often said that those of us who have had these experiences were given a taste of the golden carrot dangled from the stick we carry in front of us and were then sent back with the knowledge that we can have that experience while still in the physical body.

That is the purpose of religion.

Allow me to say that what this man describes is possible to experience in a surrendering meditation.

Just reading his words brings tears to my eyes as it causes me to re-experience the journey.

The experience of Heaven is an experience that does not return as a memory, but as a re-experience. Memories that are experienced at that level of consciousness are always with you in the current, not as a memory of the past.

One major problem is that many people with the experience return and think that they are someone special and own the experience from ego like a prized possession. Owning the experience actually takes the experience away, the exact opposite of the joy it originally brought.

I did a quick Google on this guy. He experienced this when he was 19 (happened August 15th, 1968) and it is now forty six years later. He spent his life in the ministry helping others..... In August of 2010 a portion of Mickey’s testimony was part of a two hour special on the highly acclaimed History Channel. The book came out in 2014.

I'm currently inviting speakers for a big conference next June on "Afterlife and the Survival of Consciousness." I'm printing his profile and praying on it to determine if he would be a fit to invite. I have no doubt of his experience. The question is "Where his he at now?"
