Murray made a prediction after the Mt St Helens eruption. It did not come true. Prophets make predictions and his did not come about.

Oh the “great deceiver” is at work today. I’m looking at some of the “fruit” of such with Murray’s heretical theories.

The great deceiver has been at work in this earth age since the garden of Eden at least. Soon you will be able to actually see him and hear him. He will fool everyone but the 7000.

What has that got to do with being perfect in generations?

If, as a few are saying here, Romans 11:4 is a prophecy of the 7000 that will not fall for the lie of the antichrist and that number “7000” is literal, then I guess the part about it being “men” is literal, too? So, we women won't have a chance???

As has been pointed out, you have a habit of trying to substitute one word/concept for another and hoping it will be accepted as the same thing. Once again, it's not going to work.

An honorary degree given by a university is one thing. A person falsely claiming to have a degree (whether honorary or earned) is quite another.

Murray claimed to have a degree from an accredited university after writing a dissertation on the book of Daniel. He said the degree came from Biola University in California. Biola University denies ever having a student named Arnold Murray, and, in fact, did not have a doctorate program during the timeframe in question.

How can you continue to excuse this lie?

I went ahead and did a search. I can't find anything about this other than from false websites that also say Shepherd's Chapel denies the Trinity, so no credible website has any information on this the best I can tell. What objective source are you getting this from?

It looks like someone put the story on wikipedia and even wikipedia, as liberal as they are, removed it for being unsubstantiated.

The best I can tell it's all from the same source, a guy from something called "coutercult" (slightly biased, I would say) claims he got it all from a receptionist at the chapel. Wow, receptionists are that informed, huh? lol

I would think that this would have sparked investigations from the big players, 60 minutes and the like, but looks like no one except the countercult guy has any information on it.

Yeah, I know that, just like I know God's set apart remnant is not a mere 7000. So, it's literal when it says "7000" but not when it says "men"??? That's the point being made here in case you missed it.

No, it means the fallen angels hadn't corrupted anyone in his ancestry or his family. That's why he was saved, he was still perfect to bring along the messiah. All others of Adam's family had hybrid blood, blood of the fallen angels, those that left their habitation to take the daughters of Adam.
