Universities give out honorary doctorates all the time.
As has been pointed out, you have a habit of trying to substitute one word/concept for another and hoping it will be accepted as the same thing. Once again, it's not going to work.
An honorary degree given by a university is one thing. A person falsely claiming to have a degree (whether honorary or earned) is quite another.
Murray claimed to have a degree from an accredited university after writing a dissertation on the book of Daniel. He said the degree came from Biola University in California. Biola University denies ever having a student named Arnold Murray, and, in fact, did not have a doctorate program during the timeframe in question.
How can you continue to excuse this lie?
