So your post 41 says something different than 44. First you said he wasn’t saying that of all the people there and then you said that he was.
For the record, I was not saying he was speaking of universal salvation in that particular homily. My posts have only been reacting to what he clearly stated about those in attendance. What he said was wrong and unCatholic. Period.
Regarding universal salvation:
This pope has never encouraged a non-catholic to convert to the One, True Faith to my knowledge. He hasn’t done it with the atheist newspaper editor, nor with muslims at Lampedusa, nor his rabbi friend in Argentina. He even discouraged his evangelical friend, Tony Palmer, from his thoughts of converting to Catholicism. Unfortunately, Mr. Palmer has since died.
Doesn’t sound like somebody who believes in EENS.
