Hi, Elsie!
You’ll find her in the Gospels, most notably that of Luke. She is Jesus’ mother. Of all people, wouldn’t Jesus, Who forgave His enemies and teaches us to do the same, love His mother dearly? From our own childhoods, wouldn’t a remark against a parent be considered inflammatory? And when you love someone, don’t you hurt for them when they hurt? And When someone shows them a kindness, isn’t it as if they did it twice as much for you?
Jesus said, “Whatsoever you do to the least of My people, that you do unto Me.” When we show respect and love for His mother, does it not follow that He is pleased?
Peace be with you, and all good things!
The Mary presented by modern day Catholicism bears very little resemblance to the Mary presented in Scripture.
Would you leave the goalposts where they were?
When your chosen religion elevates her to a GOD-like position; I doubt that Jesus is pleased at all!
