Prayers from all in the great state of ARIZONA!
bing.com has a nice Pearl Harbor remembrance (IMHO) on it’s page today.
First thing that popped into my mind when I opened my eyes this morning.
Hard to believe such a historic day is an afterthought, if a thought at all. But that is where 9/11 has gone as well.
I guess that is the way it is. We cannot remember the past anymore, so we will most definitely repeat it, as well as all the handwringing and exclamations of “Why didn’t we see this coming, and what could we have done to prevent it?”
Four days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States declared war against the attackers and eventually nuked them twice before they surrendered.
We are still waiting for Congress to legislate a declaration of war against Islam and its adherents for attacking the U.S. on Sept. 11, 2001, and for repeated acts of war since then.
Thank you for posting this. Six hours out of Pearl that morning, escorting the two carriers the Japanese did not get... was my father. Ordered to stay out of the ways into Pearl, they came in after the attack to burning hulks and floating burning bodies. And the tank farm was... untouched with all it’s fuel.
They left Pearl in October-— with armed torpedoes and permission to engage hostile Japanese shipping. Well in advance of the “surprise” attack. His whole life and with lot’s of personal knowledge, he said we were drawn into the war by the Brits, and thanks to FDR’s deviousness and failed policies “getting us out of the Depression” NOT! The so called “good” war, and the aftermath of the debacle with “uncle” joe stalin and the communists within FDR’s admin and thereafter. It all happened FReepers. And they are still in place, witnes obamaumao et cie.
For years of persistent democrap machine politics as a result of this imperial prez FDR. The only good thing— he kept the unions from unionizing federal employees-— until the liberals got that to happen. Perpetual centralized unionized bureaucracy and continuous rising taxes, with destruction of the middle class and private business, small and large, and of our great farming families.
For a great reference... see “The Prize”. The EU is the great dream of the Nazis, written large on Europe— after all the bloodshed to stop Hitler... and Stalin.
Peace to all this Day. Blessings for those whose family members fought, for they gave their all. Sorry for the cynicism. Do love our Veterans, tell them Thank You!
