Been doing filmed bits since season one....reference Albert Brooks, Belushi’s Little Chocolate Donuts, Fish Heads and many others.
This film wasn’t awful but it wasn’t great either. I haven’t been able to watch this show since the early nineties, it’s been that bad.
They used clips to buy time between set and costume changes. Not as a crutch for lazy writing.
