I like Christmas, but nowhere in the bible does it mention a birthday party for Jesus. Nor do we even know when Jesus was born. The whole thing is nothing more than a tradition.

Jesus did ask us to remember his death with a supper of bread and wine. A funeral has a different psychology from a birthday party. A funeral is a much deeper experience.
