Such reasoning is simply the carnal man trying to understand the judgement of the Almighty.
His ways are past finding out.
Just hear his words, and keep them, for that is his command.
The God-fearing individual that wonders of predestination, must look at that mindset with questions like this:
“Is it God’s will that I believe and obey Acts 2:38, or that I disregard it’s commands?”
That should be obvious: Acts 2:38; is it from heaven, or of men?
Excellent explanation, but it took awhile to read. I do agree, God I in control of everything, even the seemingly insignificant choices we we make every day. Things done to unbelievers are actually turned around for good
Brevity is the soul of wit, but for this topic, I felt the need to be extra thorough. (And yet there's still a lot more I could post on it!)
I like to keep it simple...God sees the beginning, the middle and the end of a thing...He is able to look back and see the choices we freely made...I also believe there are exceptions to the rule...
One typical example from your post...
“ And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee.” (Exo 21:12-13)”
Comsider that the man “delivers” himself to his executor through his ‘free choice’.
And this is the same as God delivering him.
I think freedom is a very misunderstood concept. There is freedom to “do whatever one wants”, OTOH there is freedom to attain a result.
They are of very different natures yet both are accurately called ‘freedom’.
The first requires nothing, the second requires some fear/love of God.
fdGod foreknows our choices because He ordained them...BTW thats how prophecy works too
