A while back on Free Republic someone posted something about someone who had written a book about “Therapeutic Moral Diesm” and this church certainly meets the mark of that. I seriously doubt that Paul, Peter, or other of the early church fathers would have done much except denounce this as a heresy along with gnosticism and some of the other heretical doctrines the grew up in the first four hundred years of the church.

I do not understand why a guy who thinks he can rewrite the ten commandments has any credibility. Given that, he also bases the whole premise on a false and easily disproved idea that there is no word in Hebrew for “command”, again why would this guy have any followers at all?

I’ve go that book. Painful to see what is taking the place of Christianity.

Premise is, that in many studies, “Christian” kids have the worldview that God is there for me when I need Him. Nice people go to Heaven....
