PING!
War with Islam.
It’s one sided.
Why not return the favor?
In quadruplicate?
:: I’m no fan of satirical writers or cartoonists who pursue ridicule and meanness for their own sake ::
I posit that “TDJ (@vivificat)” will be among the first to be executed under Sharia Law. TDJ will continually mouth his/her right to a “free press”.
Thanks for your input...stupid.
Because of the enemy islamist in the White House.
No, thank YOU for your great insight, troll.
Because we risk becoming like them. That would be a defeat, in my view.
The good news?...I carry.
I don’t understand your response to this posting. Are you in favor of submitting to islam?
I’m all for self-defense.
I don’t carry but I’m changing my mind...
~T.
I think we need to go on offense.
Well said. I had never heard of these folks before the mohammedan murderers killed them. “Bing” gave me a nice page full of their work. Some of it is extremely repulsive; vulgar, obscene, and blasphemous. They should have been engaged and countered in the realm of ideas. I pray for their repentance and conversion, and the repentance and conversion of others like them.
The mohammedans chose instead to murder them ... the mohammedans in turn should be hanged by the neck until they are dead.
You're Roman Catholic, right? Check out what your "Catechism of the Catholic Church" says about "legitimate defense". Then quit dithering.
I won’t be bullied into buying one.
Having said that, the problem is not one of conscience, it’s of safe and secure storage plus logistics. I have to make some improvements and since my wife is my CFO, it has to be done in stages.
Not that you care...
You see it clearly! ;-)
Actually, I do care ...
I'm somewhat fortunate, in that my wife is also a shooter. You (both) have to be comfortable with the safety and security of your firearms, and be willing to develop your skill at using them.
A Catholic friend pointed me to the relevant passage in your Catechism ... I was struck by the authors' description of "legitimate defense" as not just a right but a grave duty for those charged with the care of others.
In any case, the more decent Americans who exercise their right to keep and bear arms the better. IMO.
My own take is that people of conscience are not allowed to carry arms, only people WITHOUT a conscience will carry them. That’s the clincher for me.
Besides, I’m retired military. The question for me was not if I could act in self-defense while in uniform, but if I could and should do it as a civilian with a personal weapon.
My wife and I have decided that we can. The rest is building up the logistics, permissions, and know-how before we acquire our first firearm.
Best of luck sorting through the logistics, etc. Buying your first gun is difficult ... so many decisions. Buying your second gun is easier ... the first gun was lonely, after all.
Then you lock them up together in a dark cabinet, and they start reproducing ...
