Houston, We Still Have a Problem: Lesbian Mayor at It Again
Charisma News ^ | 1/9/15 | Jennifer LeClaire

Remember when Houston's lesbian mayor, Annise Parker, tried to subpoena five pastors' sermons in a case over the controversial transgender rights ordinance there? This same lesbian mayor is trying her level best to deny these pastors the right to a jury trial. She wants a "special master" to review the evidence.

Here's the backstory, as Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) explains it: City officials got upset over a voter lawsuit filed after the City Council rejected valid petitions to repeal a law that allows members of the opposite sex into each other's restrooms.

ADF attorneys jumped into the fray, contending the city illegitimately demanded that the pastors, who are not party to the lawsuit, turn over their constitutionally protected sermons and other communications simply so the city could see if the pastors have ever opposed or criticized the city.

This Was Our Wake Up Call

Parker's action set off a firestorm as Christians around the nation rallied against the injustice, signing the #HoustonWeHaveAProblem petition demanding the city stop bullying pastors. What the enemy meant for harm, Good used for good as Christians heard the wake up call and pushed back.

Sen. Ted Cruz got in Parker's face about her illegitimate demands, assuring the bold mayor she has no power and no legal authority to silence the church. Refusing to back down, Parker then refiled the subpoenas, with jail threats no less.

Soon, Mike Huckabee, Phil Robertson and Ben Carson, among others, started lifting their voices. And the U.S. Civil Rights Commission rebuked Parker for her actions. Finally, Christians around the country flooded her office with Bibles and Parker finally withdrew the subpoenas.

Here We Go Again

But the story doesn't end there. Fast forward to January and the drama is heating up again over.....

Parker is evidence that gay-ness is just mental illness. She is seriously a whack job.

This part of the article says pretty much what is wrong with this situation: "Remember when Houston's lesbian mayor, Annise Parker, tried to subpoena five pastors' sermons in a case over the controversial transgender rights ordinance there? In reality, it sounds like the lesbian mayor wants to make foot tapping legal in bathrooms...

The. Demons hate Jesus and His followers. This evildoer proves that point. Christians need to defend the faith with insistence on their right to religios freedom.

I don’t even want to know what Madame Mayor’s “Special Master” would look like. I’m thinking...lots of leather, lots of bare skin, some chain, a whip, a very bad attitude...maybe some of those little dangly things...nevermind.

From the TX Constitution:
Art I, Sec. 10. RIGHTS OF ACCUSED IN CRIMINAL PROSECUTIONS.
In all criminal prosecutions the accused shall have a speedy public trial by an impartial jury. He shall have the right to demand the nature and cause of the accusation against him, and to have a copy thereof. He shall not be compelled to give evidence against himself, and shall have the right of being heard by himself or counsel, or both, shall be confronted by the witnesses against him and shall have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, except that when the witness resides out of the State and the offense charged is a violation of any of the anti-trust laws of this State, the defendant and the State shall have the right to produce and have the evidence admitted by deposition, under such rules and laws as the Legislature may hereafter provide; and no person shall be held to answer for a criminal offense, unless on an indictment of a grand jury, except in cases in which the punishment is by fine or imprisonment, otherwise than in the penitentiary, in cases of impeachment, and in cases arising in the army or navy, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger.

Art I, Sec. 6. FREEDOM OF WORSHIP.
All men have a natural and indefeasible right to worship Almighty God according to the dictates of their own consciences. No man shall be compelled to attend, erect or support any place of worship, or to maintain any ministry against his consent. No human authority ought, in any case whatever, to control or interfere with the rights of conscience in matters of religion, and no preference shall ever be given by law to any religious society or mode of worship. But it shall be the duty of the Legislature to pass such laws as may be necessary to protect equally every religious denomination in the peaceable enjoyment of its own mode of public worship.

Harris County is generally conservative but Houston proper is mostly liberal.

Someone in Texas should post a picture of Mohammed having sex with a pig, and then credit her for the artwork. Let her experience the “love” of Islam and multiculturalism first hand.

We have a winner!

You have just identified, IMHO, the real driving factor behind the Mayor's actions. She has to get this issue done in her favor before she becomes the former mayor of Huston. based on her first attempt there will be little broad based support for her in future elections regardless how much support she gets from the GLBSTG**** (don't know and really don't care if I have the all the appropriate letters much less their correct locations).

BTW - what assurances can any one offer me that Emperor Obama will behave any better between now and January 2017?

Your correct, this is a demonic spirit engaged in a spiritual struggle, it will tirelessly test the boundaries and open more and more doors, and will never relinquish what it takes,

It knows its in an all out struggle against God, but we have too many believers that do not know its a war, Satan is subtle, the TV gods have shown us all what is acceptable (evil) and what is intolerable (good) and this Mayor could likely have her own highly rated talk show before shes done,

Just like America voted twice for that unclean spirit inhabiting the White House, Houston voted for this reprobate Mayor, if they don’t find the will to oppose it, this direct frontal assault against the Church, to silence the Church,

may their chains rest lightly upon them,

The whole people using whatever restroom they please is sick. A whole worse category than that of what homosexuals do. Those who oppose the transgender bill actually have sense in their heads.

I’m guessing her sexuality wasn’t revealed until after their election. There’s probably quite a few that pretend to be straight and/or Christian to get elected. I can think of a few...
