Someone sitting on the ass and guzzling beer all day and never doing one thing for his fellow man and never walking in the front door of a church, but proclaiming he’s “born again” therefore he’s going to heaven, ain’t playing with a full deck. Have a nice day.

Where did I ever say that? Oh, and you could add all of the alcohol I’ve consumed the past five years and I rather doubt it would fill a lone wine bottle. I drink too much coffee, but I don’t guzzle beer all day.

I get that you strongly believe what you said is true, but can you back it up from Scripture? I can support my arguments from the Word.

I happen to believe gathering with fellow saints for worship is important, but my Bible does not teach church attendance as a necessary condition for salvation. In fact, my Bible says there are no necessary conditions for salvation. Instead my Bible says salvation comes by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. (Eph 2:8-9) It also says, “For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.” (Romans 3:28)

My Bible says God imputes “Righteousness without works.” (Romans 4:6-7)

My Bible says it’s a grave mistake for anyone to try to, “Establish their own righteousness.” (Romans 10:3)

My Bible says Heaven deserving righteousness is a “GIFT,” not something you earn. (Romans 5:17)

My Bible says justification to God is a “FREE GIFT,” not something you work toward. (Romans 5:18)

My Bible says that Paul, as ‘good’ as he was, still wouldn’t trust his “Own righteousness” to save him. (Phil. 3:9)

My Bible says God’s righteousness is credited to “ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE,” not all that work. (Romans 3:22)

My Bible says the flesh is too “Weak” to save itself. We need a Saviour. (Romans 8:3-4)

My Bible says that our very best works, our righteous acts, are as filthy rags in the eyes of God. (Isaiah 64:6)

I could go on and on, because there are hundreds of passages that support my position. You have either been mislead...or you are one of the misleaders.

Please listen to these (what if I’m right?)

I have some questions for you to answer for yourself. I don’t want your answer, just think about them. Why do you hate free grace? Why do you WANT to work for your salvation? And how will you ever know when you have done enough? In your view, Christ Jesus wasn’t able to save completely? Why do you have such a low view of the Savior?

But if you do guzzle beer all day, tell your neighbor that if he's good enough he can get to purgatory and you then ocassionally do darken the door of a Catholic church, you may get to go to purgatory where if someone will pay enough money to your church, you may go to heaven...Maybe

Sounds reasonable to me...
