Right. The court clearly stated that we don’t have to pay income taxes any longer as long as you religiously think they are part of the mark of the beast...

And you don’t, as long as you renounce your social security number and forswear the benefits.

Not sure about that. But anyone who takes a hard look at what the social security number has become must at the very least be concerned that it could be the mark. And knowing the consequences of accepting it why would you chance perdition?

Nearly every one is forced into taking an SS number because the government and banking system have made it nearly impossible to transact business without it. However, there is no law requiring a person to take one.

I am not aware of anyone without an SS number having been charged or convicted of failure to file. I personally have known several persons who did not have a number or rescinded their number.

It took some additional effort to live normally, much on a cash basis, but some had bank accounts and one even had credit cards. A couple of them had their own business and one had his own business and also drove a school bus part time. They did not pay Federal income tax.

Further, there is no law requiring parents to obtain a SS number for their child in order to claim them as a dependent. I have read court cases supporting this. However, the IRS instituted additional rules in the mid 1990s creating additional administrative hassles, not laws, to get around the legal precedents and make it much more difficult to claim dependents without numbers.

For example, it used to just require a certified letter from the parent stating that giving your child a number violated your religious beliefs. In the 1990s IRS instituted rules whereby they refuse a refund or attach wages for money owed until you take them to an administrative hearing to prove your point.
