I remember this documentary I saw when I was a kid about a Nun in Puerto Rico who could fly. She was called Sister Bertrille.

Is she a Saint?

Both St. Augustine (of Hippo) and St. Thomas Aquinas are reputed to have been capable of self-powered flight or levitation as well.

I believe Sister Bertrille’s disqualifiers were the enthusiastic endorsements from characters she starred with in a prior TV show.

It was difficult for the Vatican committee to accept the recommendations of “Moondoggie”/Cliff Robertson: (”Gidget? She’s out of sight.” and “the Big Kahuna”/Burl Ives: (”Yeah man, she’s the ginchiest!”).

I wonder if St. Francis can fly. Remember how Superman would fly as if he were lying on his stomach on the ground, but of course he was thousands of feet in the air, or even in Outer Space, and with his arms out and hands in fists. In fact, if he flew fast enough, going in the opposite direction of the Earth’s rotation, he could go back in time.
So I wonder if Pope Francis can do that. If he can, I’ll bet he does it seated in a comfortable chair. Superman made it look like a lot of work.

Are you sure that wasn't Sally Field?
