Of course you'd want these perverts in your churches.Sinners are the ones who need church the most. It's claiming that their activities are not gravely sinful that's the problem.

What idiots. The LBGT community is at its core the antithesis of Christianity. When politically advantageous they merely feign an interest or an association with gullible Churches. However if they start showing up in your pews and volunteer in the youth groups.....run fast.

All are welcome. We celebrate diversity Perversity.

Fixed it.

I have a childhood friend who was a member of the ELCA for years and then about 10 years ago he said "NO More".

He has since been turned off from all churches despite my encouragement to find a Christ centered Church.

These abomination "churches" are infecting a lot of Christiandom.

It’s as if all of the mainline Protestant churches have jumped off of a tall building, and are racing each other to the sidewalk below.

When asked what was most important in life, Jesus, who never spoke a single recorded word about sexual orientation, said the greatest commandment was to love God and love neighbor. He modeled love of the neighbor and stranger. He said, “By this shall all people know you are my followers, if you love one another.

this is a LIE!
Here’s what Jesus said on marriage-

Matthew 19

5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?[c]

Here’s what Jesus said to the adulterer who engaged in sexual immorality-

John 8:11

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

so Jesus spoke of marriage as a heterosexual union and he told the woman involved in sexual immorality not to sin anymore.

Seems to me the leadership of the ELCA want to sin without any condemnation.

A local church, I won’t name the denomination, has also made know its “inclusion” of gays.
Now they’re having trouble just keeping the church open.
Severe drop in attendance, no funds.
Guess there wasn’t enough of the gay persuasion interested.

“Jesus, who never spoke a single recorded word about sexual orientation, “

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”- Matthew 5:17

The law:
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”- Leviticus 18:2

The Almighty’s position on this issue should be obvious to any literate person. Those unrepentant sinners who define themselves by the sin they commit are damned.

Sorry, pseudo-bishop! You’re wrong!

Matthew 19:4

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+19&version=NKJV

“And [Jesus] answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,” and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?”

Homosexuality was not a big issue for Jews in the Holy Land in Jesus’ day. It was a HUGE issue in the Greco-Roman world of the First Century. Hence the Holy Apostle Paul (inspired by the Holy Spirit) had a lot to to say about it—ALL negative!!!!

In contrast, Jesus Christ spoke only about marriage—ONLY between a man and a woman! And He blessed the marriage at Cana with His first recorded miracle!!!!

Great Lent is coming soon. We must ALL repent—starting with me, the first of sinners. “Gays” too, must repent. There is no free pass for a special category of those who think they were “born that way”!

But he has no concern for those of us who have been wounded by their actions in the pursuit of diversity!

I left the ELCA in 2005 when I couldn't stomach getting homosexuality crammed down my throat!

When asked what was most important in life, Jesus, who never spoke a single recorded word about sexual orientation,. . .

That'll be news to Jesus.

Jesus condemned ALL sexual sin when He said in Mark 7:21-23: "For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

The Greek word rendered as "sexual immorality" is "porneia," which is translated [Thayer's/Strong's Old & New Testament Greek Concordance entry #4202 ] "illicit sexual intercourse: adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals, etc."

I actually agreed with all of it until he said that bit about Christ not saying anything about sexual orientation. He, personally, ordained marriage as a sacrament. Man and woman join to become one flesh.

“And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

That’s the thing about the ELCA, their selective amnesia when it comes to the Bible.

This reminds me of why I am so thankful to be out of the ELCA. I have been a Nazarene for three years now and am very glad I made the change.
