>>Now tell me I don’t believe in Jesus Christ. Four Congressional Medals since WW1 have been awarded to Catholic Chaplains. Can you tell me they didn’t believe in Jesus Christ?<<

Do Mormons believe in the same Jesus Christ as you do? Muslims believe in a Jesus. Is it the same one you do?

“I have NEVER ONCE heard a Catholic say that, or anything close to that.”

And you never will. LOL! Ignorance is not limited to the Liberal Blogs.

>>They eat the Body and drink the Blood of Christ - as Christ taught.<<

If Christ really taught that He would have been a sinner.

Want a real challenge? Go after Muslims and leave the rest of us alone.

In a perhaps insignificant and apparently fruitless endeavor on these FR RF threads, Christians are contending for the faith as founded by Jesus of Nazareth on Himself as Messiah of the Jews and Savior of whosoever (including every gentile) believes in Him.

Whatever.

It’s more religious warfare. If it weren’t historically so bloody and dangerous I would be laughing.

However, because of history up to and including current events I wish you to know that I DO take you people seriously. Just not in the way you might think.

>>Nonetheless, go after Muslims. They definitely aren't saved and you get yourself a nice challenge.<<

I have seen no Muslims post their beliefs here. If they do I will certainly counter their beliefs.

>>They eat the Body and drink the Blood of Christ - as Christ taught.<<

If Christ taught to literally eat physical blood He would have been a sinner.

>>Do you?<<

Absolutely not. I have a Seder meal just as He did in remembrance of His broken body and shed blood just as He said to do.

By "you people", you must mean Christians who are not members of the Roman Catholic Church. Is that correct?

Christians submit to Jesus Christ not to some group of fallible men in robes.

What planet is this writer from?

Here on earth, I have never, not once in my entire life, ever, heard a Catholic say he/she was not a Christian.

ALL people who claim to have a lock on what is the correct religion or set of beliefs and who CONSTANGLY AND UNTIRINGLY pass judgment on others. And there are plenty of those within all religions including the Catholic religion.

Unfortunately, it is the ugly and destruction side of religion, which otherwise has brought much good and beauty and grace into the world.

Sigh. Such as it ever was it will continue to be I am afraid.

Here on earth, I have never, not once in my entire life, ever, heard a Catholic say he/she was not a Christian.

And yet, that statement disproves nothing of what the writer says happened to him.

Here on Free Republic's Religion forum, on various threads, the defacto expression by some RCC members has been that they are Catholic first and foremost and will not always identify themselves as Christian unless pressed. Then these posters proceed to lambaste other FReepers by posting that Catholics were and are the only true Christians.

Go look. Seek. You'll find such FR RF posts if you really try.

I never hear them say they are Christian.

I ALWAYS hear them self-identify as Catholics. Sure, if you ask they will give you a cursory yes, but being Catholic is what matter to them most, or so it seems.

It’s not odd. It’s the same old, same old.
Trying to stir up trouble and animosity.

Meanwhile, Islam advances.

Not the Muslims certainly. You tell me what the Mormons believe.
I am sticking to the Apostles Creed as to my beliefs:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I attest to this .. this is true. I have seen it here many times.

However, the protestants here do the same damn thing.

Meanwhile, Islam advances.
