I had one I called Trinity, she had a #3 tag in her ear. The first 2 breeding seasons she didn't get pregnant, even the billy's left her alone...I'd kinda cuss under my voice and just left her alone....she bred good the 3 year. A large kid with good hair just like her....a few had names, the rest I just knew by number and color of tag, except 2 split ears. they lost their tags and split the ear. Little split ear and big split ear...I guess they got caught on the old fence trying to get their heads out...heads go in easy, but backing out give a few a problem...we checked the fence lines at dusk to help some idiot that got their heads caught in the fencing. they knew if they waited long enough, we'd find them and get their heads out...once in a while it took both hubby and me to untangle them....they didn't always cooperate. It would take one of us to straddle the goat and the other one on the other side of the fence working their horns out...fun and games....gg
