The Bible is a collection of all recognized Scripture.
The problem is coming in with Catholics regularly and routinely giving the RCC credit for giving the world the Bible, therefore making them qualified somehow to be infallible interpreters of SCRIPTURE.
Well compiling all Scripture into one handy compendium is not feat of genius and does not qualify anyone to interpret it.
So, there is no need to *thank* the Catholic church for giving us the Bible because the Catholic church did not give the world SCRIPTURE. God did that.

If you want to give credit to man please be my guest. I personally owe nothing to any man or man made institution for the Bible or my Salvation. All of my Praise and Worship goes to God for by his Love, Mercy, and Grace I was saved.

Thank you so much, boatbums. I’ve thought about this, and it’s true, our voices on Free Republic get heard. If it goes down, then where exactly do conservatives go for this kind of conversation, reflection, or opportunities for activism.
