It is with unspeakable sadness and broken hearts that we share the news of Susan's death. Susan passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the evening of Wednesday, February 25th. She collapsed and never regained consciousness. She was pregnant with baby girls, Lucy and Reyna, who were delivered by C-section. Susan grew and loved these two beautiful baby girls who only lived for a short time, but long enough to be held by their loving father Tim and the family. We have never felt a loss as devastating as this.

Susan was an inspiration in every way possible. An inspiration to live. An inspiration to love. An inspiration to share. An inspiration to dream. An inspiration to give. She was the most beautiful person imaginable, and possessed an inescapably infectious energy, spirit, and positive outlook. There was no bright, optimistic, loving force as great as she. Looking for moments between herself and individuals in her life, she made work that connected people and offered glimpses into the possibility of understanding one another better. With this at the heart of her work and at the core of how she lived, she was an advocate and a daily reminder of the great power of connectedness and the power of love.

Like her mother who passed away a year ago, Susan lived with love, grace, and a sense of humor. We are forever grateful to her for inspiring this in us. We look to her words and her art now for strength in helping each of us find strength. Years ago Susan wrote: "I think we need more love in our world right now." In honor of Susan, and in loving support of her husband Tim and their families, let today be the first day in a greater conscious effort to love bigger, better, and more deeply.

Prayers lifted for all.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psa 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside still waters.

Psa 23:3 He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

Psa 23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Psa 23:6 Surely, goodness and loving-kindness shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of Jehovah for the length of the days.

Heartfelt prayers for your family as you and yours endure the losses of your loved ones.

May the Lord comfort all of you as you walk though the dark valley. Please know that He is with you and that your dear ones are with Him. Someday you will all be reunited and there will be no more tears.

(I'm very sorry for your loss and will keep you all in my prayers.)

Thank you everyone for your most thoughtful prayers, it is impossible to convey the great peace, warmth and comfort that they bring.

My cousin Cathy has sent me the following update and I spoke briefly with her a few moments ago. Tim’s parents had arrived last week in anticipation of the birth of their grandchildren and they are staying with him now, he is spending the first night at home tonight since last Tuesday and is understandably distraught.

The preliminary autopsy results were Susan brain and lungs showed no evidence of problems. The heart showed something maybe a tumor or cancer. They are looking at placental abruption this is where the placental detaches from the wall of the uterus. This may have caused uterine decompression which causes sudden loss of amniotic fluid from the uterus into the blood. It will take a few weeks before the results are back from testing.

Susan Lucy and Reyna will be cremated and the service is tentatively scheduled for next weekend.

Please keep the family in your prayers. Thank you for all your prayers. All are having a difficult time coming to terms with these horrific events.

Love Cathy

Aw, how sad. My heart truly breaks for all of you. My cherished husband was a medical doctor, and I wish he was here to explain this tragedy to me. I trust in our good Lord, but at times like this, it’s so very diffucult. God bless and keep you all. My faithful prayers for all.

Prayers for the grieving family of this young woman and her twin babies.

We know those babies are resting in the loving arms of Jesus right now and pray that their mom had given her life to Christ so that she could be smiling over her babies, who will never, ever be separated.

She has no more tears but only joy in experiencing Eternal Life with the Savior.

I pray for her husband Tim, who though he will never understand why his bride and baby girls were taken from him, can trust that God knows when to call our loved ones home.

Praying also for Susan's father, Pat and all other family as they must also be questioning God's plan.

When we don't have these answers, we can always trust His Heart. He is the ultimate Comforter.

Someone once said that life is like a big tapestry: we see it up close, just a few stitches at a time, and it doesn't look like much- it's even confusing. But stand back, and little by little, you begin to see the whole picture.

We each have our own little section in creation, and so often, things don't make sense in life. It's God, Who created it all, that sees everything, because He created it all with love and purpose.

Our suffering has meaning because God Himself became man and suffered. He also fell along the Way of the Cross. There are times when our burden is so heavy, we don't know how we'll make it through the journey- but we do, if we ask Him to help us.

Many prayers are going to God for you and all those whom you love. May He give you strength and peace through each step you take, and may He bless you always!

Heavenly Father, We pray for this family who has experienced severe tragedy in their lives. May they look to You for their strength and comfort. May family and Christian friends and surround them with love providing for their needs and support. In Jesus Name, Amen

We don’t understand losses like this but God is already in the family’s tomorrows and He has a perfect plan.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but, in your mercy, hear and answer me.

I ask of you Holy Mother that your Son and my Lord, Jesus Christ, hears my prayer and delivers the soul of a dying mother and her two daughters. I pray to my Savior, Christ in the highest, that these three souls enter Heaven and forever live awaiting their father and husband.

Hear me my lord, bless my prayer Holy Mother, Virgin Mother of Christ, I pray this tonight. In your name, Jesus Christ, My Lord and Savior.

Amen.
