Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem
As Jewish People around the World Celebrate Purim, it is important to remember that the thing that prevented the massacre was that the Jews were allowed to ARM THEMSELVES and FIGHT BACK. It is a statement from the Bible in favor of righteous self-defense.
Joshua distinguished himself as a Warrior in the battle against the Amalekites, and now he has become Moses' "Right Hand Man". Like other great Leaders in the Bible, He was given a "New Name".
16 These are the names of the men Moses sent to explore the land. (Moses gave Hoshea son of Nun the name Joshua.)
"Hoshea" means "Save us!" and is the word from which we derive "Hosanna". "Joshua" means "God is My Salvation" and indicates a profound change in Joshua's status from being a slave to being a Man of God.
Joshua is the only one Moses trusts to take up the mountain with him. Even Aaron and the other priests are left in the valley with the people.
The recent incredible popularity of the movie "American Sniper" shows that we still appreciate and trust a Man of Courage and Integrity.
Come and pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
This Symbol Represents Christians in The Middle East, who desperately need our Prayers.
Hallelujah and Amen
