he Pope just gave a visiting delegation of North African bishops a long lecture on how they had to “promote dialogue with Islam” and “not proselytize” for Christianity.

It’s in Spanish (Infovaticana, a Spanish Church news site). The Pope met with CERNA, which is the North African Bishops’ Conference.

In addition to everything else, he said the that whole problem is lack of understanding, which is the cause of violence. He said that education is the only solution, “education in the discovery and acceptance of difference as richness and fertility.” A truly meaningless statement, and one that particularly makes no sense in the context of ISIS (most of whose leaders are well educated and in fact were educated amidst great “diversity” in the West).

With words like this from the Pope, I think it’s small wonder that Rome, as Robert Royal pointed out, seems to be clueless and in denial about the threat.
