Evangelicals, said Reynolds, “will fall out of their chairs to vote for someone who would defend them in their cultural belonging but doesn’t embarrass them intellectually.”

Scott Walker has said in campaign commercials that it's possible to disagree on abortion.

"Hi, I’m Scott Walker. I’m pro-life. But there’s no doubt in my mind the decision of whether or not to end a pregnancy is an agonizing one. That’s why I support legislation to increase safety and to provide more information for a woman considering her options. The bill leaves the final decision to a woman and her doctor. Now, reasonable people can disagree on this issue. Our priority is to protect the health and safety of all Wisconsin citizens."

That will make me fall out of my chair, all right, but not to vote for Scott Walker.

The problem is that it is not a woman and “her doctor.” It is a woman—or girl—and an abortionist, who usually has no relationship with this woman other than that for a few hundred bucks he comes in and decapitates her kid.
