I think these are what they refer to s false teachers. I think Jesus would be turning over the tables in his church. No wonder the world thinks all Christians are hypocrites. These guys act just as bad as the politicians taht make our lives miserable.

How would those same scientists reconcile that?Age dating involves half-life radioactive measurements.
In age dating rocks, radioactive Potassium has a half life of a little more than a billion years as it breaks down into argon. When it comes to plants and animals, it is radioactive Carbon 14 - with a half life of about five thousand seven hundred and thirty years - that tells the tale.

but how does a little child reconcile the bible in their heart and trust its words if accepted science says the very first story in it is taken out of context or interpreted wrong, as in a six day creation? A false dilemma as there can be ways of reconciling this that we simply do not comprehend, any more than we can of God being outside time and space. I am no only capable of getting into this as that gets into a level of knowledge far above my own, but there are sites that get into it.
I do hypothesize however that when man sinned and death began, the effects were so dramatic that a rock that was only weeks old would text to be millions of years old. How, i do not know, but the Bible speaks of something dramatic happening as well as a 6 day creation.
Others like Hugh Ross argue for a day ago theory.

The problem is we have pastors who don’t believe Genesis 1.

Sorry to see it happening, but modern knowledge doesnt agree with a seven day Bible creation story. No, but it agrees with a six day creation story as recorded in Genesis.

want to weigh my answer so I dont offend you or others here, but my heavy heart is not due to loss of childhood beliefs in stories from the bible, but rather feeling like the last man standing when acknowledging that I believe God did create the earth in six days. Standing right there with you!

That shouldn’t surprise anyone. Christ asked if He would find any when He returned.

it agrees with a six day creation story as recorded in Genesis. Interesting thought ...
Among obvious questions about creation, how do we know it only took God six days to create Earth ... 4.5 billion years ago?

The study also found that rejection of the Bible and lack of trust in the church are two main reasons why people are turning away from faith. What were the 2 main reasons 2 years ago?
