The problem is in the question.
The goal of the Christian is to be Christlike, since Christ kept the law perfectly then to be like Christ is to make the law inferior because you have an example — it’s like having the choice of a path with sign-posts vs. a guide who knows the way and will personally escort you.

The "goal" of this Christian is to worship and adore my Savior ... I can never be like Christ ..He was God/man.. He was perfect..
