Rubio: I Would Attend Gay Wedding of Family Member, Friend

Although he thinks marriage should be between a man and a woman, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio says he would attend a same-sex wedding of a family member or friend to show his support for someone he cares about.

Rubio was interviewed Wednesday by Fusion's Jorge Ramos, who asked the Republican presidential candidate whether he would attend the wedding of a gay friend or co-worker if invited.

"If there's somebody that I love that's in my life, I don't necessarily have to agree with their decisions, or the decisions they've made, to continue to love them and participate in important events," Rubio answered.

The situation would be much like attending the wedding of a person who was previously divorced, which also is prohibited by his Catholic faith, he explained.

"If it's somebody in my life that I care for, of course I would" attend their wedding, Rubio said. "I'm not going to hurt them simply because I disagree with a choice they've made or because I disagree with a decision they've made, or whatever it may be."

Stick a fork in Rubio. He's done. He claims to be a Catholic and is totally ignorant of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Although there is no official "position" of the Catholic Church on attending sodomite "weddings" it is a no-brainer for a sane thinking Catholic. Attending is giving your tacit approval of the abomination. Rubio also says he's a Catholic but attends his wife's protestant church as much as he attends Mass. This is strictly forbidden. He does it anyway.

How about weddings of gay immigrants, Marco?

I am interested in hearing if Mr Rubio will be speaking at the Western Conservative Summit.
THAT could be interesting.

By attending a sodomite “wedding”, one gives tacit approval to same.

If he’s this mealy-mouthed as a candidate, imagine what a pushover he would be as president.

I don’t agree. Jesus was constantly dining with the sinners.

Yo, Marco, what do you do when the officiater (is that a word?) gets to the part where he or she akses, “Is there anybody here who knows of a reason why these (insert number here) should not get married, let him speak now or forever hold his peace.”?

“Attending is giving your tacit approval of the abomination.”

That is so true. That is the attitude of the usual gutless, fence-straddling politician who poses as the rare one who can look down deep and see and understand all positions.

I would like go find something real important, and tell my gay family member I was busy, like I needed to go fishing.

Jesus was constantly dining with the sinners.

And exhorting them not to sin.

Yes, of course. He drank wine, too, doncha know.

You do realize He was there to convict them of their sin and show them the need for a Savior, not to party with them and give approval to their lifestyles, right?

If Rubio attends a sodomite wedding, will he be doing that?

For sodomites, that would be an enhancer.

Yes Jesus did dine with sinners

(and then took the opportunity to tell them to STOP sinning!)

“I don’t agree. Jesus was constantly dining with the sinners.”

How many were proud of their sins with no intention of discontinuing?

Oh, good. A moral relativist in The White House. We've never had one of those before. I wonder how that will work out.

Another Rubio fail.

*sigh*

It’s really too bad, he had such promise. But he obviously is not up to the job.

Rubio, you just feel off my “will even consider” list.

“I don’t agree. Jesus was constantly dining with the sinners.”

He dined with sinners AND provided a sermon about the Christian faith.

With all that scripture on your page you did not know this? Amazing what trolls could get away here to pass as a Freeper.
