I had such a tough time getting used to standing for Communion! I grew up in a very orthodox parish and we didn't do any "new" things until we absolutely had to. To this day, I receive Communion on my tongue.

Now that we have the information available to us so easily, I believe that what was referred to as the spirit of VII, was a bit of a free for all in some places.

That was a really good choice of article. I agree with what was said, and I see the part about crossing one's hands to receive a blessing differently now.

I don't like the lack of altar rails, either. The Sanctuary should be just that. We need to be mindful of just Who is present there.

One of the priests in a nearby parish here has decided that gluten-free hosts are now okay. I must’ve missed the memo from the pope /s
