If the married couple had sex, they are one flesh. God's decision, not ours.

Having sex, without a valid marriage does not constitute consummation of the marriage because there wasn't one in the first place. In order to be one in flesh in God's eyes, there has to be a VALID MARRIAGE.................VALID MARRIAGE.

If marriage is not a sacrament, then one is simply answering to a civil authority.
When Jesus spoke, Rabbis were performing marriages in a blessed union.
Based upon all the above: 1. If one is independent of any denomination, are the marriages spiritually binding? 2. Are they valid if one of the couple has had premarital sex with a previous lover? 3. Are there divorces among those who interpret as above?

Well, I'll be! I never knew all 12 Apostles shared a common parent! Wow, you learn something new every day! Must have been a Mom, since there were the sons of Alpheus; Judas was the son of Simon the Iscariot; and weren't Peter and Andrew brothers, as were John and the other James? 12 kids by at least 2 or 3 husbands- I wonder if she was ever divorced, whoever she was. And she played favorites, too- asking of her "sons of thunder" could sit at Jesus' right and left in Heaven! No wonder Judas was so angry- bet he was the black sheep of the family!
