Young people wont necessarily find faith in formal church services says the NHS's former Chief Nurse Dame Sarah Mullally as she is named as Bishop of Crediton
Declining numbers at services should not necessarily be a cause of despair for churches because people will still encounter God without ever taking their place in a pew, the Church of Englands newest bishop designate has insisted.
Dame Sarah Mullally, the former NHS Chief Nurse for England who has been named as the next Bishop of Crediton, said clerics must recognise that young people are as likely to hear the Christian message through social media sites such as Facebook or in cafés as in a church.

She’s not really there to draw others to Christ, only to care for her own perverse goals.
well when the Church of England preaches if feels good do it and the secular preaches if it feels good do it then what’s the point of going to the CoE????
Fyi, I’ve been to an Evangelical church in England, it was small but full of people. It wasn’t a lefty United Methodist type service.
No, its just the end of the CoE.

Perfidious Albion stikes again!
Liberal and mainline churches are losing members because when you stand for nothing, nobody has a reason to stand with you.
It’s not enough to encounter God in day to day life. We profit from gathering for the specific purpose of setting aside everything else in our lives to focus on our relationship with God. “For where two or three are gathered together in my name . . .” We need to gather in His name, and not just hope to bump into God at random as we go about our lives. This fool should read the Bible - another effective way of encountering God.
Idiot “bishop” does her Monty Python bit.
“Have at you!”
When the Muslims get Sharia Law into effect... the Christian churches will be full ..
