That is why the way is narrow. No one said it was easy to follow Christ. We all have our crosses to bare, some harder then others. You will always be Catholic if you were baptized Catholic and your life is not over, so God must not be done with you yet. I, along with other Catholics who read this, will pray for peace in your life and for whatever God’s will is to give you that peace.

'Following Christ' is the sanctification process. It results in things presented at the Bema Seat of Christ IN HEAVEN, where if what you have is wood, hay, or stubble, it will be burned up, but you will be saved as by fire. When you believe in Him and accept His Justification Of you, your are immediately indwelt by the Holy Spirit, thus you are then going to be in Heaven, even if all you can manage is wood, hay, and stubble. That IS a blessed hope. Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. He generates the faith, in you. The reason you are guaranteed to be in Heaven --and watch this, it is essential because it clearly differentiates Catholic belief from what the Bible actually teaches-- you are guaranteed Heaven because of Him, not because you muddled through enough to be worthy of His Grace. He translates you to Heaven because of Him in you, not the works you may drag along with you.

You are right. God is not done with me yet. He is still molding me into what He wants me to be. It has taken a lifetime, and He still works on me. I will pray for you too.
